Given :-

  • Two numbers a = -4 / 9 and b = 11 / 6 .

To Find :-

  • A rational number between them .

Solution :-

Say if we have two numbers , as x and , y then a rational number between them is given by ,

→ Number = x + y / 2 .

Using above concept :-

→ N = (-4 / 9 + 11 / 6 ) ÷ 2

→ N = ( -8 + 33 / 18 ) ÷ 2

→ N = 25 / 18 × 1 / 2

N = 25/36

Hence the required number is 25/36 .

Given:-

  • a = -4/9
  • b = 11/9

To Find:-

  • Rational number between them.

Solution :-

Let the two numbers be x and y then the rational number will be

 \frac{x + y}{2}

so,

n =  \frac{( - 4)}{9} +  \frac{11}{6} \div 2  \\  \\ n =  \frac{2 \times  - 4 + 3 \times 11}{18} \div 2 \\  \\ n =  \frac{ - 8 + 33}{18} \div 2 \\  \\ n =  \frac{25}{18} \times  \frac{1}{2} \\  \\ n =  \frac{25}{36}

Therefore, the answer is

 \boxed{ \frac{25}{36}}
