 \sf \pink{Required  \: number =  \frac{1}{2}( \frac{1}{3}  +  \frac{1}{2})  }

  :\implies  \frac{1}{2} ( \frac{2 + 3}{6} )

 : \implies  ( \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{5}{6} )

  :  \implies \purple { {\frac{5}{12} }}

Hence, \frac{5}{12} is a rational number lying between  \frac{1}{3} and  \frac{1}{2} .
