Due to Gravity , The orbiting object will be pulled towards the center of the planet and provide the acceleration to continue drifting in a circular path . Due to this , the object will gain certain velocity and stability when it is at a distance from the center of the planet .

Fg = Fc

= GMm / r² = mv² / r

Orbital velocity ,

V = √ GM/r

The speed at which the kinetic energy of an object is equal to its gravitational potential energy is : -

1/2 mv² = GMm / r

Rearranging to solve for escape velocity ,

Hence the relation ; Ev = √ 2 GM / R
