20 \div 100 = 50 \times 5 \div 100 = 20 = 20 \times 50

Answer:

Let the MP be '100'

MP after first discount = 100-(20/100×100) = 100-20 = 80

MP after second discount = 80-(5/100×80) = 80-4 = 76

Discount equivalent to both = (100-76)×100/100 = 24%
