Find 'a' so that (3, a) lies on the line represented by 2x - 3y - 5 = 0. Also, find the co-ordinates of the point where the line cuts the x-axis.​

Answer:

for a

2×3-3×a-5=0

-3a=5-6

a=1/3

the co ordinates of the point is (X,0)

then

2×x-3×0-5=0

2x=5

X=5/2

coordinates (2/5,0)
