QUESTION:

Find a value of p for which x = -2, y = -1 is a solution of the linear equation 5x+2py=2p.

ANSWER:

5X + 2pY = 2P

5 × -2 + 2× P × -1 = 2P

-10 - 2P = 2P

2P + 2P = -10

4P = -10

P = -10/4 = -5/2
