Answer:

a6 = -25

Explanation:

Given A.P : 17,14,11,.......,-40

First term (a) = 17

common difference (d)=a2-a1

= 14-17

= -3

Now ,

Rearranging the terms in reverse order ;

-40, -37,-34,...,11,14,17

first term (a) = -40

common difference (d) = 3

a6 = a +5d

= -40 + 5×3

= -40 +15

= -25

\bf\huge\textbf{\underline{\underline{According\:to\:the\:Question}}}

a6 = - 25 from End

A.P : 17  ,14 , 11 ,......., -40

a = 17

\tt{\implies d = t_{2} - t_{1} = 14 - 17}

= - 3

\bf\huge\textbf{\underline{\underline{Arrange\:from\:last\:in\:a\:sequence}}}

- 40 , -37 , -34 ,..., 11 , 14 , 17

a = - 40

d = 3

a6 = a + 5d

= - 40 + 5 × 3

= -40 + 15

= - 25
