To find : Base ( AB ) = ?

We know that,

Area of Triangle = 1/2 × base × height

So,

Area of ∆ ABC = 1/2 × AB × CD

Substituting the given value in above formula we get,

48 = 1/2 × AB × 0.12

48 × 2 = 0.12 × AB

96 = 0.12 × AB

AB = 96/0.12

= 800 m

Hence the base ( AB ) of triangle ABC is 800m
