Arya Samaj is an Indian Hindu reform movement that promotes values and practices based on the belief in the infallible authority of the Vedas. The samaj was founded by the sannyasi Dayanand Saraswati on 10 April 1875. Members of the Arya Samaj believe in one God and reject the worship of idols.

Arya samaj:
swami dayananda saraswati was a social reformer who rejected the orthodox ritualistic Hinduism and became a wandering sanyasi.
He studied the vedas and was convinced that they contained The true religion and he rejected all later additions to hindu religion like many gods and goddesses , idol and temple worship and Brahmanic priesthod and caste system.
He advocated worship of one supreme God through simple rituals and reciatation of vedic mantras. He rejected all other religions As false religions and wanted Hindus who had converted to other religions to return to Hinduism based on vedas. He set up an arya samaj in 1875, to preach His ideas and also wrote a book, satyaprakash , which was printed in large numbers and read widely by the educated class
