Hi use the distance formula.
Let (x,4) be the point.
Given it is 5 units far from point (5,0)
Therefore
 \sqrt{ {(x - 5)}^{2} + {(4 - 0)}^{2} } = 5 \\ {(x - 5)}^{2} + {4}^{2} = 25 \\ {(x - 5)}^{2} = 9 \\ x - 5 = 3 \: or \: - 3 \\ x = 8 \: or \: - 2
Hope this helps.
