Hey friend !

Solution :

Absolute value refers to the value obtained after applying modulus to that number.

Properties of a Modulus ;

  1. Modulus function is a function which allows only positive integers to be given out as output.
  2. Modulus when applied to a positive number always gives a positive number with same magnitude or value as output. E.g. Modulus of 1 is also 1.
  3. Modulus of a negative number is always a positive number inside the modulus function. E.g. Modulus of - 1 is + 1.

So these are the basic criterias that must be known for calulating absolute values.

So absolute values of 3 / 5 is 3 / 5 according to Property No: 2.

Absolute value of - 3 / 5 is also 3 / 5 according to Property No: 3.

Hence in both cases we get the absolute value to be positive 3 / 5.

Hope my answer helped !
