In ∆ ABC
by phythagoras theorem
AC^2= AB^2 + BC^2
= (15)^2 + (20)^2
= 225 + 400
AC^2 = 625
AC= 25
In ∆ ADC
by phythagoras theorem
AC^2 = DC^2 + AD^2
(25)^2 = DC^2 + (24)^2
625 = DC^2 + 576
DC^2 = 49
DC=7
