acceleration is zero because the net force on each block is zero

The tension between 3 kg block and 5 kg block is 50 Newton

Answer:

The acceleration of each block and tension in string between 3kg and 5kg block is 0m/s² and 50N respectively.i.e.option(b).

Explanation:

The net acceleration of the given system will be calculated as follows,

a=\frac{m_1-(m_2+m_3)g}{m_1+m_2+m_3}      (1)

Where,

a=acceleration of the given system

g=acceleration due to gravity=10m/s²

m₁,m₂,m₃=respective masses of the body

From the question we have,

m₁=5kg

m₂=3kg

m₃=2kg

By substituting the required values in equation (1) we get;

a=\frac{5-(3+2)\times 10}{5+3+2}

a=0 m/s^2      (2)

The tension(T) in the string between 3kg and 5kg block is given as,

T=m_1g       (3)

By substituting the value of m₁ and g in equation (3) we get;

T=5\times 10=50N

Hence, the acceleration of each block and tension in string between 3kg and 5kg block is 0m/s² and 50N respectively.i.e.option(b).
