Step-by-step explanation:

We have given that :

  • AB=3cm , AC=4cm , BC= 5cm

To be find :

  • AD or height of the triangle

Solution :

we will find the Area of the triangle by heron's formula ie

 \sqrt{s(s - a)( s- b)(s - c)}

Where S is semi perimeter i.e.(Sum of all sides /2)and a, b, c are sides of triangle.

S= 3+4+5=12/2=6cm

So area will be »

 \sqrt{6(6 - 3)(6 - 4)(6 - 5)}   \\  =  \sqrt{6 \times 3 \times 2 \times 1}  \\  =  \sqrt{36 } = 6

Hence the area of triangle =1/2×Base ×Height =6cm.

1/2×5×H=6

H= 12/5 cm. or 2.4 cm.

Hence the length of AD will be 12/5 or 2.4cm
