2x + 36 + 5x = 180
7x = 144
x = 20.5 = 21 (approx)
/_ AOC = 2x = 2×21 = 42 degrees
/_ BOE = 5x = 5×21 = 105 degrees
As /_ AOC and /_ BOD are vertically opposite angles
/_ AOC = /_ BOD
z = 42 degrees
As AB is a line
y+z = 180 degrees
y + 42 =180
y = 138 degrees
