Given zeroes = -1 and 2

Polynomial = p(x) = 2x³-x²-5x-2

For Finding other zeroes :

We have -1 and 2 as zeroes. Making the factors :

x-2 and x+1 are the factors.

Also the product of the zeroes is a factor.

(x-2)(x+1)

=> x²+x-2x-2

=> x²-x-2

g(x) = x²-x-2

Dividing p(x) by g(x) :

We get 2x+1 as the quotient.

So the another factor is 2x+1 and the another zero is :

2x+1 = 0

2x=-1

x=-½
