Step-by-step explanation:

a+a+24=64

2a=64-24

2a=40

a=20

three sides are =20,20,24

in an isosceles tri. base is bisects by its altitude

24/2=12cm

12^2+x^2=20^2

144+x^2=400

x^2=400-144

x^2=256

x=√256

x=16cm=altitude

area =1/2*b*h

=1/2*24*16

=12*16

=192cm^2
