Area =54 cm square

base=15 cm

let the altitude be a

Area of parellalogram =Base×Altitude

54=15×a

54/15=a

therefore a=3.6cm

hence altitude is 3.6 cm

Question ::-

Find altitude of a parallelogram whose area is 187.5 cm and base is 15cm.

Given ::-

  • Area of parallelogram = 187.5 cm

  • Base of parallelogram = 15 cm

To find ::-

  • Find the altitude of parallelogram ?

Solution ::-

• Base of parallelogram = 15cm

• Height of parallelogram = H

• Area of parallelogram = 187.5 cm

Area of parallelogram = base × altitude

187.5 = 15 × A

 \dfrac{187.5}{15} = A

12.5 = Altitude

__________

Hence , altitude of parallelogram is 12.5 cm

__________

Let's varify ::-

Area of parallelogram = Base × height

187.5 = 15 × 12.5

187.5 = 187.5

L.H.S = R.H.S
