Answer:

We will first find the simple interest

‎ ‎

simple  \: interest =  \frac{time \times rate \times principal}{100}

‎ ‎

‎ ‎

Further solving -

 =  \frac{8000 \times 5 \times 3}{100}  =  \frac{80 \times 5 \times3 }{1}  =₹ 1200

‎ ‎

As now we know that the simple interest is ₹1200, so we will find the amount whose formula is =

\small\color{black}\boxed{\colorbox{saffron}{Amount=principal+simple\:interest}}

Amount = 8000+1200= ₹9200

Required Answer -

Given:

Principal: Rs. 8000

Rate: 5% per annum

Time: 3 years

What to find?

We have to find the amount.

How to do?

First we have to find simple interest using the formula SI=\frac{PRT}{100}  where P is principal, R is rate, T is time and SI is simple interest and the find the amount using the formula A=P+SI where A means amount.

Solution:

Using the formula of SI,

SI=\frac{PRT}{100}

Substitute the values,

SI=\frac{8000*5*3}{100}

Cancel the zeros in 8000 and 100,

SI=80*5*3

Multiply the numbers,

SI = Rs. 1200

Now using the formula of A,

A=P+SI

Substitute the values,

A=Rs. 8000 + Rs.1200

Add the principal and simple interest,

A=Rs.9200

∴ So, the amount is Rs. 9200.
