given :-

base of the triangle = 7cm

height (altitude) = ?

formula for the area of a triangle is 1/2 × b × h.

therefore 1/2 × b × h = 28cm² (given)

➡ 1/2 × 7 × h = 28cm²

➡ 3.5 × h = 28cm²

➡ h = 28/3.5

➡ h = 8cm

hence, the altitude of the triangle is 8cm.
