Firstly, Mean of data, X bar = \frac{\sum Xf}{\sum f} = \frac{1840}{40} = 46

Variance formula is given by = \frac{\sum f*(X-Xbar)^{2} }{\sum f - 1}

                                                = \frac{19360}{39} = 496.41
