find an integer which when multiplied by 4 and divided by nine becomes -28

We need to use the endgame rule here ,i.e, start from the end.

Since the last operation is to divide by 9, we start with multiplication with 9.

Then we will divide the product by 4 to get the original number.

i.e,

-28×9= -252

-252÷4= -63

∴the original number is -63
