The five indian soldiers who fought bravely are-

  • i. Havildar Abdul Hamid, Company Quartermaster: Also known as the Tank Destroyer. He was given martyrdom and the Param Vir Chakra. Without concern for his own safety, he destroyed the opposing tanks, motivating his allies to battle and stop the enemy's advance.
  • ii. Lieutenant-Colonel Ardeshir Burzorji Tarapore: The commander of the Poona Horse Regiment wasTarapore, Lieutenant Colonel. In the Sialkot Sector, they were tasked with seizing Phillora. He fought back against the enemy's advance and bravely went after Phillora. Despite being hurt, he refused to be rescued. He was given martyrdom and The Param Vir Chakra.
  • Gen. J.N. Chaudhuri served as the Army's chief of staff and also contributed for the war
  • AM Arjan Singh headed the air force and Adm which led to the capture of Pakistan
  • The Chief of the Naval Staff was Bhaskar Soman, he was a major brainchild for naval tactics.
