→ A, B and D are three points on a circle. A tangent, TA at A makes an angle x with the chord AB, i.e.<TAB = x. AD passes through the center of the circle. Therefore, ABD is a right-angled triangle with the right angle at B.

→ <TAD = 90 degrees [Radius or diameter of a circle makes a right angle with a tangent at the point of contact].

→ <TAB = x, or <BAD = 90 - x.

→ In triangle ADB, <ABD = 90, <BAD = 90-x.

→ So <ADB =180 -<ABD -<BAD =180–90-(90-x) = 180–90–90+x = 180–180+x

→ So, <ADB = x.
