Given:

∠ABC = 40°

To find:

The value of the angle ADC

Solution:

In the figure, we have given a circle with four points A, B, C and D on the circle.

Here in the figure, you can clearly see that AC is the chord of the circle and this Chord subtending the angles on the circle at the points B and D.

And by the property of the circle, the angle subtended by the chord on the circle is same at all the points.

So,

∠ABC = ∠ADC

We have given the value of ∠ABC = 40°

then the value of ∠ADC = 40°

∠ADC = 40°
