For our convenience let's name the vertices of the triangle:-


A - the top vertice

B - the left vertice

C - the right vertice


We see, ∠ACB + 120° = 180°

Therefore, ∠ACB = 60°


Now, we observe that the triangle is an isosceles triangle because AB = AC.

Therefore, ∠ACB = ∠ABC (equal sides of a triangle subtend equal angles)


So, ∠ABC = 60° = y

Also, x + y = 120

...(Exterior angle of a triangle is the sum of the other two                                                       angles of a triangle)


Substitute the value of 'y':-


x + 60° = 120°

x = 60°


So, x and y are 60° each !
