=> y = 180⁰ - 140⁰

=> y = 40⁰

Now

According to angle sum property of a triangle

angle PQR + angle PRQ + angle RPQ = 180⁰

= x + 40⁰ + x = 180⁰

=> 2x = 180⁰ - 40⁰

=> x = 140⁰/2

=> x = 70⁰

Therefore,

x = 70⁰

y = 40⁰
