There are more than 10 rational numbers between -1/3 and 5/7. In fact, there are countably infinite rational numbers between -1/3 and 5/7.

If you convert both numbers to a common denominator (and there are countably infinite common multiples of 3 and 7), you will see what I mean.

For example, start with the LOWEST COMMON MULTIPLE which is 21. Both numbers will then be rewritten as -7/21 and 15/21 respectively. The rationals of denominator 21 between them are, -2/7, -5/21, -4/21, -1/7, -2/21, -1/21, 0, 1/21, 2/21, 1/7, 4/21, 5/21, 2/7, 1/3, 8/21, 3/7, 10/21, 11/21, 4/7, 13/21, and 2/3. These are already more than 10 rationals.
