• To find the rational numbers between two fractions first we need to make the denominators same.
• For that we need to find the LCM of the denominators.

LCM of 2 and 4 is 4.

$\longrightarrow\bf{\dfrac{1\times1}{4\times1}=\dfrac{1}{4}}$

$\longrightarrow\bf{\dfrac{1\times2}{2\times2}=\dfrac{2}{4}}$

• But there is no numbers in between 1/4 and 2/4.

• So again we need to multiply these numbers with 8.
