Given:-

  • Length of a rectangle is 10 cm.
  • Breadth of a rectangle is 4 cm.

To find:-

  • Area and perimeter of a rectangle.

Solution:-

Here,

  • Length (l) = 10 cm
  • Breadth (b) = 4 cm

Firstly,

  • finding the area of a rectangle.

Formula used:-

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

→ A = l × b

→ A = 10 × 4

A = 40 cm²

Hence,

  • the area of a rectangle is 40 cm².

Now,

  • finding the perimeter of a rectangle.

Formula used:-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

→ P = 2(l + b)

→ P = 2(10 + 4)

→ P = 2(14)

P = 28 cm

Hence,

  • the perimeter of a rectangle is 28 cm.

Therefore,

  • Area (A) = 40 cm²
  • Perimeter (P) = 28 cm

Length given = 10cm

Breadth given = 4cm

❄️ Perimeter of a rectangle = 2×(Length × Breadth)

==> 2×(10cm+4cm)

==> 2×(14cm)

==> 28cm

❄️ Area of a rectangle = Length × Breadth

==> 10cm × 4cm

==> 40cm²

 \\

❄️ Therefore, the area and perimeter of a rectangle whose length and breadth are 10cm and 4cm are 28cm and 40cm² respectively.
