ANSWER :

• Perimeter of square = 104/5 cm

• Perimeter of square = 104/5 cm• Area of square = (676/25) cm²

EXPLANATION :

GIVEN :

Side of square = 5⅕ cm = (26/5) cm.

TO FIND :

Area = ?

• Perimeter = ?

SOLUTION :

• We know that –

Perimeter of square = 4(side)

• Put the values –

Perimeter = 4(26/5)

⇒ Perimeter = 104/5 cm.

• We also know that –

Area of square = (side)²

⇒ Area of square = (26/5)²

⇒ Area of square = (676/25) cm².

Given ,

  • The side of square is  \sf 5 \frac{1}{5} cm or  \sf \frac{26}{5} cm

We know that , the area of square is given by

Area = (side)²

Thus ,

 \sf \mapsto Area =  {( \frac{26}{5}) }^{2} \\  \\  \sf \mapsto Area = \frac{676}{25}   \\  \\ \sf \mapsto Area = 27.06 \:  \:  {cm}^{2}

 \sf \therefore{ \underline{The  \: area \:  of  \: square \:  is  \: 27.04 \:  {cm}^{2} }}

Now , the perimeter of square is given by

Perimeter = 4 × side

Thus ,

 \sf \mapsto Perimeter = 4 \times  \frac{26}{5}  \\  \\ \sf \mapsto Perimeter = \frac{104}{5}  \\  \\\sf \mapsto Perimeter = 20.8 \:  \: cm

 \sf \therefore \underline{The \:  perimeter  \: of \:  square \:  is \:  20.8 \:  cm}
