area of shaded region = area of rectangle-area of circle

Area of the shaded region=Area of rectangle - Area of circle

 = area \: of \: triangle = l \times b

 = 42 \times 42

 = 1764cm ^{2}

 = area \: of \: circle = r {}^{2}\pi

r = 14 \div 2 = 7...r = 7

 = 22 \div 7 \times 7 \times 7

 = 22 \times 7 = 154cm {}^{2}

 = 1764cm {}^{2}  - 154cm {}^{2}

 = 1610cm {}^{2}

The area of the shaded region = 1610cmsquare
