Answer:

radius =10 cm

area of a circle = \piπ r^2

         =22/7 x 10x 10

         =2200/7

Given :-

  • Diameter = 10 cm
  • Radius = Diameter ÷ 2 = 10/2 = 5 cm

To find :-

➳ Area = ?

Method :-

 \sf{area \: of \: circle = \pi {r}^{2} } \\  \\  \implies \sf{area =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 5 \times 5} \\  \\  \implies \sf{area =  \frac{22 \times 25}{7} } \\  \\  \implies \boxed{ \sf{area = 78.57 \:  {cm}^{2} }}

Additional information:

  • Circumference of a circle ⭕ = 2 π r
  • A circle is a 2 dimensional shape that has no points and has only 1 face.
  • Diameter is the longest line in a circle
