GIVEN :-

  • Side of a equilateral triangle = 20 cm.

TO FIND :-

  • The area of Equilateral ∆.

SOLUTION :-

As we know that the area of Equilateral triangle is given by the Equation,

 \\ : \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Area_{(Equilateral \: \triangle)} = \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4} \times (side) ^{2} \\ \\ \\

 : \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Area_{(Equilateral \: \triangle)} = \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4} \times (20) ^{2} \\ \\ \\

 : \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Area_{(Equilateral \: \triangle)} = \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4} \times 20 \times 20 \\ \\ \\

 : \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Area_{(Equilateral \: \triangle)} = \sqrt{3} \times 5 \times 20 \\ \\ \\

 : \implies\underline{ \boxed{ \displaystyle \sf \: \:Area_{(Equilateral \: \triangle)} = 100 \sqrt{3} \: cm ^{2} }} \\ \\

Hence area of Equilateral triangle is 100√3 cm².

Given

  • The Equilateral triangle, whose each side is 20 cm

We Find

  • Area of given equilateral triangle

We know

Area of equilateral triangle = √3 / 4 × (side)²

According to the question

Area of equilateral ∆ = √3 / 4 × (side)²

Area of equilateral ∆ = √3 / 4 × (20)²

Area of equilateral ∆ = √3 / 4 × 20 × 20

Area of equilateral ∆ = √3 × 5 × 20

Area of equilateral ∆ = 100√3 cm²

Hence, Area of equilateral triangle is 100√3 cm².
