Answer:

Given Question:-

Find the area of the given figure ?

Solution:-

The given figure consists of three diagrams ,

They are rectangle, Parallelogram

and Trapezium

Area of the given figure =

Area of rectangle + Area of

Parallelogram + Area of Trapezium

I)Area of rectangle:-

Length of the rectangle = 18 units

Breadth of the rectangle = 6 units

Area of a rectangle = length × breadth sq.units

=>Area of rectangle

=>18×6

=>108 sq.units

Area of rectangle = 108 sq.units--------(1)

ii)Area of Parallelogram:-

Base of the paralellogram = 18 units

Height of the paralellogram = 9 units

Area of a Parallelogram = base×height sq.units

=>Area of Parallelogram

=>18×9

=>162 sq.units

Area of Parallelogram = 162 sq.units ----(2)

iii)Area of Trapezium:-

Two parallel sides of the Trapezium are

= 18 units

36 units

Distance between them = 9 units

Area of a Trapezium = (1/2) (Distance between

the two Parallel sides)×(Sum of two parallel sides) sq.units

=>Area of Trapezium

=>(1/2)×9×(36+18)sq.units

=>(9×54)/2

=>9×27 sq.units

=>243 sq.units

Area of Trapezium = 162 sq.units------(3)

Area of rectangle + Area of

Parallelogram + Area of Trapezium

On adding (1)&(2)&(3)

=>108+162+243 sq.units

=>513 sq.units

Area of the given figure = 513 sq.units

Answer:-

Area of the given figure is 513 units^2

Used formulae:-

Area of a rectangle = length × breadth sq.units

Area of a Parallelogram = base×height sq.units

Area of a Trapezium = (1/2) (Distance between the two Parallel sides)×(Sum of two parallel sides) sq.units
