Given :  A figure  having a rectangle  , divided into three rectangles

To find : Area of green rectangle

Solution

Let  say height of green figure= H cm

& Width of green figure   =  W  cm

Area of green figure = HW cm²

H(8 - W) = 25

H(9-W) =  32

=> (8- W)/(9 - W) = 25/32

=> 256 - 32W = 225 - 25W

=> 7W = 31

=> W = 31/7

H(8 - W) = 25

=> H(8  - 31/7)  = 25

=> H (56 - 31)  = 25 * 7

=> H (25) = 25 * 7

=> H = 7

HW = 7(31/7)  = 31

Area of green figure =  31 cm²
