Find area of sector and length of arc with angle substands by arc is 60° with radius is 45cm.​

Given:

The radius of the circle is 45cm

The angle of the arc is 60°      

To find:

  • The length of the arc.
  • The area of the sector formed by arc.  

Solution:

The radius of circle = 45cm

The angle of the arc = 60°

Length of the arc = Ф°/360° × (2πr)

Now, we will put the values and find the values

Length of the arc = Ф°/360° × (2πr)

                            = 60/360 × 2 × \frac{22}{7} × 45

                            = \frac{1}{6} × 2 × \frac{22}{7} × 45

                            =  47cm

Length of the arc = 47cm  

2. Area of the sector formed by the arc.  

Area of sector = Ф°/360° × πr²

                        = 60/360 ×\frac{22}{7} × 45 × 45

                        =  \frac{1}{6} × \frac{22}{7}× 45 ×45            

                        =  1060.71cm²  

Area of the sector = 1061cm²

Area of the sector formed by arc is 1061cm².

Length of the arc = 47cm .

Area of the sector formed by arc is 1061cm².
