Area of the Major Sector is 261.7 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that,

The area of a sector of a circle is \frac {60}{360} of the circle.

Area of a sector = [ \frac {\theta}{360}] \pi \times r^2

= [\frac {60}{360}] \times 3.14 \times 10 \times 10

= \frac {314}{6} = 52.3cm^2

For, major Sector = 360 - 60 = 300

Area for major sector = [\frac {300}{360}] \times 3.14 \times 10 \times 10

= \frac {250 \pi}{3}

Area of the circle is 3.14 \times 10 \times 10 = 314

Hence area of the major sector = 314 - 52.3 = 261.7 cm^2
