Area of the given rectangle = l(b) sq. unit

= 12(20)

= 240 Sq. unit

Area of ∆DEG = 1/2(12)(5)

= 30 sq. unit

Area of ∆CFB = 1/2(14)12

= 84 sq. unit

Area of ∆EAF = 1/2(6)7

= 21 sq. unit

Now,

Area of shaded region = Area of rectangle - { Area of -> ∆DEG + ∆CFB + ∆EAF }

= 240 - { 30 + 84 + 21 }

= 240 - 135

= 105 Sq. units
