∆ ADQ

area = 1/2× b×h

= 1/2 × 10 × 6

= 30 sq cm

now consider

∆ACB

area = 1/2 × b × h

= 1/2 × 8 × 10

= 40 sq cm

Total area ( area of shaded region) =

A(∆ADQ ) + A(∆ACB)

= 30 +40

= 70 sq cm

So area of shaded region is 70 sq cm
