first find the area of square 14×14=196 cm^2
then ,in figure there is 4 semi-circle and one squre at the centre
side of central square=4 I.e area =4×4 =16cm^2
and area of 4 semi circle is 4[πr^2]/2
ie. 2(22/7 ×2×2)=176/7cm^2
now.,add area of central squre and four semi circle i.e.( 16+176/7)cm^2 then subtract from the area of bigger square
ie.{196-(176/7+16)}cm^2
u will get answer

area of square=176cm^2cm

area of flower:

(area of small square)+(area of a circle)

(4×4)+(22/7×2×2)

16+88/7

16+12.57

28.57cm^2cm

area of shaded region:

176-28.57

147.43cm^2cm
