Area of shaded region=area of the bigger circle -area of the smaller circle.

Let's take the radius of small circle as r

Bigger circle's radius as R

Then,Pi*R*R-Pi*r*r=ar of shaded region

3.14×20×20-3.14×8×8=ar of SR

1256-200.9=1055.1

Therefore,the area of the shaded region is 1055.1 sqcm

The area of the shaded region = (22/7)*{(20*20)-(8*8)] cm^2

                                                  = (22/7)*(400-64) cm^2

                                                 = (22*336/7) cm^2

                                                 = (22*48) cm^2

                                               = 1056 cm^2
