Area of trapezium = \dfrac{1}{2} × (sum of parallel side) × (distance between then or height)

= \dfrac{1}{2} × 12 × 7

= 6 × 7

area = 42 cm^{2}

Given:

  • Measure of two parallel sides of trapezium are 5cm & 7cm and the height of the trapezium is 3cm.

To find:

  • Area of the trapezium.

Solution:

As we know that,

  • Area of trapezium = 1/2 × (Sum of two ∥ sides) × height, therefore,

⇒ 1/2 × (5 + 7)cm × 3cm

⇒ 1/2 × 12cm × 3cm

18cm²

Hence, the area of the trapezium is 18cm².
