Question:-

  • Find area of triangle using herons formula for sides 50cm,20cm,50cm.

Required formula:-

  • A = \sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

Given:-

  • a = 50 , b= 20, c= 50 , s= a

Solution:-

A = \frac{1}{4}  \sqrt{-a^{4}+ 2(ab)^{2}+2(ac)^{2} -b^{4}+2(bc)^{2} -c^{4}    }

= \frac{1}{4} \sqrt{ -50^{4} + 2(1000)^{2} +2 (2500)^{2} -20^{4}+2(1000)^{2}-50^{4}                }

= 489.9 cm^{2}

Answer:-

  • Hence, the answer is 489.9 cm^{2}.
