Area of triangle = \large\rm { \frac{1}{2} × b × h} , where b is base and h is height.

Substitung the values,

\large\rm { 64 = \frac{1}{2} × b × 8}

\large\rm { 64 × 2 \div 8 = b }

\large\boxed{\rm { \therefore \ Area \ = 8cm}}
