Loss = (CP) - (SP) = (CP) - 261

Loss% = Loss×100/CP

=> 10(CP) = [(CP) - 261 ] × 100

=> (CP)/10 = (CP) - 261

=> (CP) = 10(CP) - 2610

=> -9(CP) = -2610 => 9(CP) = 2610

=> (CP) = 2610/9 = Rs.290

Answer:

hope it helps

Step-by-step explanation:

s.p = 261

c.p = ?

loss% = 10%

we know,

loss = c.p - s.p ÷ c.p × 100%

10  = c.p - 261 ÷c.p × 100%

do multiply c.p - 261 by 100%

10 = 100c.p - 26100÷ c.p

do cross multiply

10c.p = 100c.p - 26100

26100 = 100c.p - 10c.p

26100 = 90c.p

26100÷90 = c.p

290 = c.p

Therfore c.p = 290
