  3. VOLUME OF CONE

SOLUTION :

SLANT HEIGHT OF CONE BE 'l'

IN A CONE ,

 {l}^{2}  =  {r}^{2}  +  {h}^{2}  \\  \\  =  >  {l}^{2}  = 36 \:  + 49 \\  \\  =  >  {l}^{2} = 85 =  > l =  \sqrt{85}   \\  \\ 1)curved \: surface \: area \: (csa) \: of \: cone = \pi rl \\  \\  =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 6 \times 7 = 132cm {}^{2}  \\  \\ 2)total \: surface \: area \: (tsa)of \: cone = \pi r(r + l) \\  \\  =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 6( \sqrt{85}  + 6) =  \frac{132 \sqrt{85} }{7}  +  \frac{132 \times 6}{7}  \\  \\  = 113.1 + 173.8 \\  \\  = 286.9cm {}^{2}  \\  \\ 3)volume \: of \: cone \:  =  \frac{\pi {r}^{2} h}{3}  \\  \\  =  \frac{22 \times 36 \times 7}{7}   = 792 {cm}^{3}
