Given:-

  • Radius of the cylinder is 14cm

  • Height of the cylinder is 12cm

To Find:-

  • Find the CSA of the cylinder.

Concept:-

  • Let's understand the concept firstly. Concept used here is Curved Surface Area(CSA) of a Cylinder.Substitute the given values in the equation and find it out.

Formulae Applied:-

  • Curved Surface Area(CSA) of a Cylinder = 2πrh

Solution:-

Radius of the cylinder = 14cm

Height of the cylinder = 12cm

CSA of the cylinder = ??

According to the question we have!

Curved Surface Area(CSA) of a cylinder = 2πrh

⟹ 2πrh

⟹ 2 × 22/7 × 14 × 12

⟹ 2 × 22 × 2 × 12

⟹ 88 × 12

⟹ 1056

⟹ 1056cm^2

Hence,

Curved Surface Area of the cylinder is 1056cm^2.

Question :- Find CSA of a cylinder of radius 14cm height 12cm. ?

Answer :-

we know that, curved surface area of cylinder is equal to :-

  • 2 * π * radius * height .

given that,

  • radius of cylinder = 14cm .
  • height of cylinder = 12cm.

putting both values in above told formula we get,

→ CSA = 2 * (22/7) * 14 * 12

→ CSA = 2 * 22 * 2 * 12

→ CSA = 44 * 24

→ CSA = 1056 cm².

Hence, CSA of given cylinder is 1056 cm².
