Given :

• Diameter of cylinderical tank = 3.8m

• Height of cylindrical tank = 4.9 m.

To find:

• CSA of the cylindrical tank .

Solution :

• As we know that :

Curved surface area of the cylinder = 2 π r h .

Where,

r is radius and h is height of the cylinder .

Radius = d/2 = 3.8/2 = 1.9 m

=> CSA of cylinderical tank = 2 π (1.9)(4.9)

=> CSA of cylinderical tank = 2 (22/7)(19/10)(49/10)

=> CSA of cylinderical tank = 58.52 m².

Hence ,the CSA of cylinderical tank is 58.52m².

csa = 2πrh

csa = 2 (22/7)× 38/20 × 49 /10

csa = 58.52 m2.
