Answer:

where is your values???

let U = -3, V = 5, P = -6, C = 7, B = -2, L = 4

1) d (U,V)

sol- d (U,V),

The co-ordinate of point U = -3

The co-ordinate of point V = 5

-3<5

d (U,V) = bigger co-ordinate - smaller co-

ordinate

= 5 - (-3)

= 5 + 3

= 8

d (U,V) = 8 units

2) d (P,C)

sol- d (P,C)

The co-ordinate of point P = -6

The co-ordinate of point C = 7

-6<7

d (P,C) = bigger co-ordinate - smaller co-

ordinate

= 7 - (-6)

= 7 + 6

= 13

d (P,C) = 13 units

3) d (V,B)

sol- d ( V,B),

The co-ordinate of point V = 5

The co-ordinate of point B = -2

5>-2

d (V,B) = bigger co-ordinate - smaller co-

ordinate

= 5 - (-2)

= 5 + 2

= 7

d (V,B) = 7 units

4) d (U,L)

sol- d (U,L)

The co-ordinate of point U = -3

The co-ordinate of point L = 4

-3<4

d (U,L) = bigger co-ordinate - smaller co-

ordinate

= 4 - (-3)

= 4 + 3

= 7

d (U,L) = 7 units
